C'est Trop Froid!!

Another lovely frosty beautiful morning. Everything looked amazing!
George was unimpressed, his feet were cold.

Frenchies on patrol of the riverside in Great Shelford.
Brrrrrrrrrr!

Welcome Archie

Archie is a cheeky chappy with lots of energy. His breed just loves to herd things, preferably livestock but humans and cars will do!

Welcome Jasper!

Jasper is a new friend, he is a chocolate Labrador and such a handsome gentleman. As you can see, sticks are his favourite thing ever.

Red adores him! Although unfortunately it is unrequited.

As she keeps trying to take away his sticks!

What a lovely fellow he is.

The French Revolution

George and Roxy are coming for a holiday at our house soon!! We are very excited. They are so cute and are both really affectionate.
Roxy loves to be centre of attention,
and George loves to be comfy!

Princess Beatrice

Here is Red and her new best friend, Beatrice, otherwise known as Boo Boo. She's a woofy girl! She loves to make a lot of noise, and she also loves to chase tennis balls. So she has a lot in common with Red!!

Max and Dexter

Here we have a recent picture of Max and Dexter, trying to ignore each other. Moments later they were running about together like long lost pals!

Cow Attack!!

On a recent walk in Barrington, myself and 3 of the dogs were chased by a herd of cows who took great offence at us being in their field.
I did all the wrong things on this occasion and ran screaming from them which just drew more attention to us! The dogs had all scampered back to the car as I dragged myself through the boggy field. It was a very close call. I shall NOT be walking the dogs near any livestock in the near future!!

Should you come across cows on your dog walk, here are the rules to follow.

1. Keep your dog on a close leash under quiet control.
2. Remain calm and walk as far away from the herd as possible to the nearest exit.
3. Should the livestock begin to charge, drop your lead. The dog can easily outrun them and this will draw their attention away from you. Cows can weigh up to and sometimes over a tonne which can be fatal if you're on the end of a full charge.

It is very rare for cows to do this, I was very unlucky apparently. So I don't mean to frighten anyone! But be safe and take care!

A Trip To Orwell

These were taken on a recent trip to Orwell Clunch Pit.

It's quite a steep walk up the hill, but Red didn't mind.
Dexter having a rest at the top!

Pippa taking a look over the edge. She is better with heights than me!!

Puddles

The recent showers of rain, of course brought us lots and lots of fun puddles. Here a some pics of our wet and wild adventures.

Fisrt Pack Walk

Here's a quick video of our first pack walk from a few weeks ago, starring Red, Tina, Max and Pippa.

Max and Rio

Yesterday, Max and Rio had their first introduction.
Rio is the more dominant dog and Max recognised this at once.

Usually when out with the girls Max will try to be the boss, which can lead to scuffles, but with Rio he was relaxed and calm. I think he knew he was not going to get away with anything with Rio!!

It was nice to see them both playing together happily.

Max's experience will help him to be more confident with the girls now he has realised what fun it is just to enjoy the games without trying to be top dog.

Pack Walk

For the first time the other day, I took 4 dogs on a pack walk. This was 3 dogs, all with big personalities and puppy Red, who is just going with the flow at the moment.

Lots of fun was had by all.

Lots of chasing and sniffing and exploring.

We shall try our pack walk again this week. Let's hope it goes as well!!

Sunny Day

Dexter and I took a lovely walk in Barrington recently. It was lovely and sunny, perhaps the last of our summer! Here are a few of our pics from the walk.

It was perhaps a bit too hot for Dexter. He sat down in a puddle and then wouldn't get up!!

Hopefully we'll get some more sunshine soon.

Oscar On The Moon

Oscar and I recently went to the Chalkpits in Cherry Hinton. It is a bizarre place!! It is a totally lunar landscape and well worth a visit. These pictures don't really do it justice, but you get the general idea.
